Geography:
Kampong Cham is primarily lowlands. The main river is the Mekong River which cuts roughly through the center of the province. It spread on 9,799 km². It borders the provinces of Kampong Chhnang to the west, Kampong Thom and Kratié to the north, Prey Veng and Kandal to the south, and shares an international border with Vietnam to the east. Its capital and largest city is Kampong Cham.
